Fun Things in Gwinnett on April 29th 2017

This is weekend is my hubby’s birthday and we will be going to some type of festival. There are so many to choose from we haven’t quite nailed it down.

One strong possibility is the Happy Festival in Suwanee which will be filled with carnival rides and food trucks plus it’s was started by an awesome high school freshman with a heart of gold. Learn more http://happyfeat.org/

THERE ARE NO SHORTAGES OF THINGS TO DO IN GWINNETT THIS WEEKEND. It’s going to be hard to choose what to attend!!

Binge Watching YouTube Videos

Today I’ve binged watched YouTube videos to learn more about editing, content creation and just trying to pick up tips as I create my own channel. One tip I picked up today and will be applying to future videos is that,

More is more when it comes to creating and editing a video!!

Take as many pictures and video footage as you can so that you have more options to work with as you create your final footage. I think for me it’s better to create short snips of video, do slower (and steadier) panning  and take a lot of pictures. So that I can get the desired effect for my videos

I plan to use these tips moving forward. My hubby’s birthday is this Sat 4/29 and we will be going somewhere fun and frugal. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.

Self taught, self made

I’ve always been able to teach myself and learn through books,  video or audio. But there is something special about attending a workshop (especially when it’s free). At workshops I’m able to network and mastermind. A

Able to quickly put what I learnt into action. Stay tuned to my blog about upcoming workshops in and near Gwinnett

Opportunity is there for those who look

Seek and ye shall find. It’s an old sentiment but rings true none the less.  As I pray for opportunities to be an entrepreneur and as I search, I find the answers. For months I’ve been struggling with marketing and advertising then I stumbled upon a free event by Google on how to use adsense to drive traffic to my site.  The event was free and after they provided one on one to setup my first ad. Stings of Dismiss

via Daily Prompt: Sting

It stings a little when I think of the last job I got fired from mainly  because it marks the third one over the last six years. The reality is, I am a horrible employee! I’m preoccupied daydreaming of when I can get home to pursue my true interests. In contrast, I am a wonderful entrepreneur, full of energy, ideas and follow through. Yeah it stings a little to be dismissed from a job, or two, or three… but each time grew me into the entrepreneur I am today.

Imperfect Action

When I first started this blog and YouTube channel I wanted it to be about all things gwinnett county.  I did not realize how hard it would be to attend the events with my family in tow, take pictures, write and edit. So each time attending the event with my family is as far as I got in the process.  I will say we had a great time although I have no pictures to prove it!

I’ve decided to stop trying to be perfect and waiting for the perfect time to take action.  Instead I’m going to take imperfect action.

I love to share and i love to learn and I don’t have to be perfect in my attempts.

Trying to Balance It All

Like most creative crafty people I have multiple projects going on at once. This blog being one of them. I’m just truing to figure out a schedule that will give me time to do everything I enjoy, blogging, making YouTube videos, crafting, pinning, running my flea market both and of course spending time with my family and taking care of my  house.

Lately I’ve been just focused on redirecting my flea market booth at my local antique mall. I’m redesigning my space, sourcing new products. I need to make new display pieces, come up with a color scheme, a theme.  It’s a lot of fun but there are just too many choices! I had a bit of analysis paralysis. But I’m over that hump and things are coming together for my booth. I decided to make things easy on my self and come up with a system and stop trying to do every last detail of everything. I’ve found some shortcuts especially when it comes to running my flea market booth.

My goal is to carve out some time for all my endeavors and still enjoy the process. I have to stop thinking and start doing.

Yonah Mountain Winery

I surprised my husband Jonah and I took him to Yonah Mountain Winery after we went to the Gainesville Spring Chicken Festival. We got there too late for the wine tour in their gorgeous wine cave. But that just gives us another reason to go back.

It’s stunning their inside and out.  They even had a live band.  A great way to end our day.
